Under Travelling Skies: departures for larkin, 8th June - 21st July


Under Travelling Skies was a response to the theme of Philip Larkin's Hull by writers and visual artists associated with the city. The exhibition was accompanied by a book and a short film featuring  poems, stories, photographs and paintings. Poets Peter Didsbury, Christopher Reid, Carol Rumens,  Maurice Rutherford and David Wheatley were joined by novelist Ray French, poet and short story writers Mary Aherne and  Kath McKay, and the poets and painters John Wedgwood Clarke, Cliff Forshaw and Malcolm Watson. The project was the winner of the first Larkin25 Words Award.
